Happy Birthday Mama!!
My mom celebrates a birthday today. Since I have already done the 10 things for her birthday last year, I will spare you and her another 10. NOTE:(if you want to see another ten, check out WE BE WINANS in my links and see my sister blog. SO, I will share something my mom has passed to me and I hope to pass to my girls.
My mom doesnt mind doing manual labor. She runs a school out of her church and sometimes has to do tasks others might pass on. They are certainly not glamorous or newsworthy. Not my mom!! She rolls up her sleeves and gets in the trenches. She does so much behind the scenes and never toots her own horn. She is a silent worker blessed with a servant's heart. She does this not for the glory later, but to make the world just a little bit better than before. I am so blessed to have such an inspiring woman live a life worthy of example. I can only hope to demonstrate those same qualities to my children so they too can serve with a joyful heart. My sisters too posess these qualities and for that I am proud. We had a good teacher, no?? Thank you Mama for doing what you do.
May you have the happiest of birthdays today and be blessed with many more!! I love you...

Feliz Dia de los Reyes!!!
.....or happy Three Kings Day!!!. Actually this took place on the Monday the 6th, but I am a little slow with the posting. So we put our shoes out hoping the three kings come by our house looking for Baby Jesus leaving gifts along the way. Which they did and of course left all kinds of goodies. These guys are good!! Now of course, this means the tree can come down as well as the lights outside. FInally!!!!

Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year!! I hope that your year has been great so far. The Quicks have been super busy, but having lots of fun. The girls and I headed to Houston to see old church friends that I have grown up with. It was so great to see just how grown up we have become!! Everybody has kids!! Tuesday found Mom and I on a treasure hunt to find old white plates to hang on my kitchen wall. We had so much fun gathering our finds and anticipating what the next stop would bring. At the end of the day, we spent forever trying to find the right placement so David could hand them up, only to find he arranged them a different way and thus put them up to his liking. So Mom, what do you think?? Wednesday was a great New Years spent with friends and the first day of the year was restful and calm. Perfect after all the running around I have done this season. Friday I went to my uncle's inauguration. Please pardon the pics, my camera doesn't like to take pics from far away. This weekend finds us sad that we return to normal life and school and jobs and the daily grind. However, we anticipate a visit from the Three Kings on Monday night, so there is a silver lining after all...
