First Day of School !!

Ok so here's the big second grader...this was the first year that I was completely out of the clothing selection process. Not too bad, huh??? We also bought her an American Girl book about hair styles and she did her own hair too!! OOOh they grow up so fast!!!
By the way... I saved my tear shedding for after they left and as soon as I got on the computer...I think I will always cry on the first day of school!!!

Eight Years????

On this day eight years ago, I stood before God and my loved ones and pledged my life and love to this man. Many of you reading remember that day!!! I could never have predicted the journey God had in store for us when we first met sooo long ago. It has been a roller coaster ride and with every turn and climb and drop, my husband teaching me to ride with my eyes open and my hands in the air. We have been blessed with eight years, each year becoming more precious as we journey on. My prayer is that we continue on our ride and are blessed with many many more!! Happy Anniversary my Sweet!!

My sister Kristian celebrated her birthday this weekend. Kristian has been preggers for about two years now and she was ready to get out of mommy mode and have some fun!!! We took her to Howl at the Moon in Houston and we had a great time!!

In honor of the birthday girl, ten little facts I bet you didn't know about her:

1. she wanted to be a chef when she grew up
2. had multiple birthday parties cancelled due to bad behavior

Lindsay's Wedding

This weekend was Lindsay's wedding in Houston and the girls were asked to be flower girls. While I don't have actual pics of the wedding yet, I have the preparation's pics. The girl's stylist (Nola) took care of hair and makeup and I think she did a fabulous job. I hope you enjoy seeing these girls as much as I did !!!!

Yesterday was my grandmother's birthday. She is 78 years young. Yesterday found her with a birthday celebration surrounded by her family. They were not about to let the threat of ol Eduardo ruin a good party. A few things about the birthday girl:

3. never lets me slouch when sitting or standing
4. left her country to provide a better life for her children

What in the world???

....is what I want to know!!! About 2:30 I was woken up to bacon sizzling, or at least that what I thought it was. It was my back door cracking up into a zillion pieces. It is a double paned window but it was cracked from the inside of the door not the outside. Isn't this totally freaky?? Any ideas on what could have caused it??? random sniper, crazed bird ?? Let me know what you think....
