Schools out for summer!!!

Second Grade Here We Come!!!

Owen and Brittany

Ok I'm tearing up right now as I write this. I can't believe my precious is going to be a second grader. Where did the time go?? Just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and now were bringing her home from her last day of school.
On a good note my sadness lasted only through the Sonic drive thru and then we were off to see Owen who was in town for a visit to see Nannie (his great grandmother) He is so handsome and precious and I definitely got my baby fix. He smelled so good!! I tried to convince my girls to let him come live with us but Kendall kindly replied that she was Daddy's princess and he didn't have any more room in his heart. It was too full. I might add that after this conversation she was very nervous and kept asking me to give him back to his momma.

HAppy Memorial Day!!! by caroline q.

It was a great day for Caroline and Kendall because they got to drive the boat! they were so excited! Kendall was the only one who went swimming but when we left it started to rain! the end

..You are a dancing Queen...

Saturday night was Caroline's recital and boy was she excited. We spent the morning at dress rehersal and it proved to be a tease for her. This shy and reserved girl had a taste of the stage and couldnt wait to get back on. Who would have thought???

Afterward she shared with me that she was so excited but then sad as to the fact that her best friend is moving away in four days and this will be the last time they will ever get to dance together. I know exactly how she felt. I had just shared the same tearful moment with her mother during rehersal.

Get cha head in the game!!!

Last night Bunga suprised the girls and took them to see High School Musical on Ice. David and I had been keeping this a secret for a while now and it was really hard not to let it out when both were giving me a hard time getting dressed for school. So when they get back we were so suprised as to the amount of loot Bunga got them while there. They sang to every song and Kendall has decided to take up ice skating. Wow what a night!
I'm so blessed to have such wonderful in laws willing to go to any length for their girls. Thank you Bunga and Paw Paw for making it such a special day!!!

Waco Zoo and a little bit of Rock n Roll....

This week Caroline and I went to the Waco Zoo with her class. The parents had to ride in seperate cars behind, so my lovely friend Leslie and I got to catch up on grown up talk!! We had such a good time! I almost dare say that I was kinda sad the ride wasn't longer!! Well the zoo is just fabulous and we were lucky that our girls were well behaved. The weather was great and it proved to be a wonderful day. Meanwhile, David and Kendall went to the Houston zoo and had an equally great time. On Friday we went to CAroline's sing along where the kids sang and danced and it was really cool!! The theme was Fifties and they Doo Wopped and Sock Hopped the day away. The teachers and staff really get into the whole thing and make the atmosphere so special!! This month is going by so fast. I can hardly believe that in less than a month school is over. I will have a second grader!! WHere did it go???
