What a week!!!!
This week we were blessed with a little bundle. My niece Emerson was with us all week while Kristian was away on buisness. I'm not quite sure who had a better time..the girls or Emerson. Thankfully Caroline and Kendall were great with her and I know really looked forward to when they could help with the feedings or snag some diapers or pick out outfits for her to wear. This prompted Kendall to ask her Dad for some money so that she could order another sister. (priceless!!!) Anyway, we were sad to see her go on Friday, but I know she was really happy to see her mommy.
Sunday was David mother's side of the family gathering. Every year we have a chinese auction and I must admit the gifts are really good. I must have missed the memo, but there were a lot of knives from steak to santouku to pocket. Kinda scary, but we Quicks came home with a huge wine entertaining basket and an American Express gift card. We were pleased. David's dad was celebrating a birthday and was enjoying his new 46" flat screen TV and making us all really envious.

Bunco Christmas Ornament Exchange
Last night my Bunco group participated in our annual ornament exchange. The hostess, Emily Jordan provided a marvelous spread of fajitas and many goodies to nosh on before and after dinner. As always we never play, but it seems as there is never enough time to catch up. The party started at 7 and we didn't even start the exchange till after 9. I am always excited to see what everyone brought. Some try to thwart off others by wrapping poorly and others go all out arriving with beatuiful packages worthy of magazine covers. Everyone knows what each lady's tree scheme is (as well as their children's trees), so it realy makes shopping for that special ornament even more thrilling when the lucky number opens the package. The ornaments were really beautiful this year, and everyone left satisfied with their loot. Nevertheless, we had a great time (as we always do).

Party with the Quicks
On Thursday night, David and I attended his company's christmas party in Dallas. It's always interesting to go because I get a chance to put lots of names to the faces of David's clients. It's also great because I delight in the many praises about him and his company. What a proud wife I am!! ASG really does put on a festive event and I'm sure that the pics convey that. My inlaws, usually reserved people, danced the night away..so you know it was a great party!!

On this day at 4:37 pm, My brother David entered this world 17 years ago. Many of you reading remember that day. Wasn't that like just yesterday?? At the time I wasn't quite sure what this baby would do to the dynamics of the family(somebody upstaging me) but through the years I have become so thankful that God sent us this blessing. He has put up with not only one, but four mothers. He has seen alot in his day: college, weddings, births, awesome vacations and brothers in law. David has put up with bossy, know it all sisters, never complaining or maybe he had just learned to tune us out. Nevertheless, my brother is a fine example for my girls and I'm proud to call him brother. I can't wait to see what God has in store for him in the coming years!!! Happy birthday D..I love you!!!
So sorry for my long absence. All those events really left me....brain dead. I've been in Pj's for a while, which would explain why we are in our PJ's for our picture!!! Well, I have emerged refreshed and ready for Christmas. I promise to not put so much time between postings as we have lots for you to see in the coming weeks!!!
